Four types of internships and classes are available

A. For SBU Journalism majors and minors
JRN 288: 1 credit, may be repeated for max of 2 credits; A-F grading

B. For SBU students interested in being heavily involved
One semester of THR 298, 1 credit, with A-F grading
or
Volunteer for one semester or more and be chosen for the Editorial Board

Followed by 1-3 credits per semester, to a max of 12 credits in
THR 480: Projects in Media, with A-F grading
and / or
THR 488: Independent Study, with A-F grading

D. For anyone, SBU or non-SBU, interested in a project or investigative report that is personally appealing, or good for their resume, and can be done on their own schedule - but no academic credit

Intern with [AA]2, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created by SBU alumni to work on issues of importance to the Asian American campus and metro NY - LI communities.
