Each year China Blue's
Mid-Autumn Fest gets better and better - and more crowded as
it becomes more well known. SAC Ballroom A was packed for
this years fest, held on September 17th, as students ate
mooncakes, drank coconut milk with tapioca balls (like in
bubble tea), and had sesame rice balls prepared right there
by the Culinary Club.
Around the room students were engaged in different
activities including mah jong, Chinese checkers, riddle
contests, ball tosses, card games, and lots more.
On stage the China Blue DJ's gave out prizes to winners of
assorted contests. China Blue is a radio show on WUSB 90.1
FM every Sunday night at 9pm. It alternates weekly between
Cantonese and Mandarin.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the
Moon Festival, is held when the full moon is at its
brightest. It is one of the two most important holidays
along with the Lunar New Year. It is held on the 15th day of
the 8th lunar month. In 2008 that was Sunday, September
14th, when the graduate students in CSSA, the Chinese
Students and Scholars Association, occupied the Ballroom for
their Moon Fest.
