Suffolk County Plans 1st
Asian Pacific American
Heritage Day

May 9, 2009

 Community Help Wanted

This year will be the 30th NYC APA Heritage Day Festival and Suffolk County now has such a large APA population that the SC Asian American Advisory Board is planning its 1st. On May 9th, from 1-6 pm, in the Wang Center at Stony Brook University, there will be free admission for cultural dance, music, and vocal performances from different countries, Asian American films, multicultural booths with arts and crafts displays, vendor booths, a tea ceremony, and workshops. From 6-8pm there will be an awards dinner.

But in order for it to be a tremendous success - it needs community help - in lots of ways!

--- Business and Community Sponsors
In this economy, Suffolk County is not in the position to pick up the whole tab. And while the economy may be in a downhill slide, we all need to support each other and to support Long Island. This is a simple and inexpensive way to show who you are to a wide range of people along with showing pride in your heritage.

Sponsorship includes journal ad, table space, signage, and dinner tickets
